CAPHENIA has developed a process for exploiting CO2 in the production of synthetic fuels and base chemicals. The process has the highest efficiency of all synthetic fuel processes. This is made possible by an innovative reactor concept in which biogas, CO2 and water are converted into syngas without any by-products. This is then used to produce synthetic diesel, petrol, kerosene or methanol. These synthetic fuels play an indispensable role for the energy transition as they allow energy to be stored and transported. In other words, renewable energy can be transported across the world in liquid form and used in the existing infrastructure.
