  • 9 Google Fonts

(1) We use Google Fonts on our website. These are the “Google Fonts” of the company Google Inc. The company Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all Google services for the European area. Google Fonts is an important component for ensuring the quality of our website. All Google Fonts are automatically enhanced for the web. This saves on data volume and is a great advantage especially when using mobile devices. When you visit our site, the low file size ensures that pages load quickly. Google Fonts are also secure web fonts. The use of different image synthesis systems (rendering) in different browsers, operating systems and mobile devices can lead to errors. Such errors can sometimes distort the appearance of texts or entire web pages. There are no cross-platform problems with Google Fonts thanks to the fast Content Delivery Network (CDN). Google Fonts supports all major browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera) and works reliably on most modern mobile operating systems, including Android 2.2+ and iOS 4.2+ (iPhone, iPad, iPod). We therefore use Google Fonts so that we can present our entire online service as uniformly as possible.

(2) No cookies are stored in your browser. The files are requested via Google domains fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. According to Google, the requests for CSS and fonts are completely separate from all other Google services. If you have a Google account, you do not need to worry about your Google account data being transmitted to Google while using Google Fonts. This data is only stored locally on our servers and not transmitted to external Google servers, meaning that data transfer to third countries is therefore excluded. The legal basis for using Google Fonts is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a uniform presentation of our websites).

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of assessing how you use the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.

(2) The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

(3) This website uses Google Analytics with the “_anonymizeIp()” extension. The legal basis for using Google Analytics is Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, and your consent is given via cookie banners. • 12 Newsletter

The following information explains the contents of our newsletter as well as the registration, dispatch and statistical analysis procedure and your rights of objection. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive it and to the procedures described.

Newsletter content

We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications containing promotional information (hereinafter referred to as “Newsletter”) only with the consent of the recipients or a legal permission. If the content of the newsletter is specifically described when registering for the newsletter, it is relevant for the user’s consent. Our newsletters also contain announcements and reports on events as well as news and trends from the logistics and mobility industry.

Double opt-in and logging

We use what is known as a double opt-in process for newsletter subscriptions. This means that you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your registration once you have registered with us. This confirmation is necessary as it prevents others from registering with e-mail addresses that do not belong to them.

We log newsletter registrations so that we may demonstrate that the registration process is compliant with the legal requirements. This includes storing registration information and confirmation time as well as IP addresses.

Using the dispatch service provider “Sendinblue”

The Newsletter is sent using “Sendinblue”, a newsletter dispatch platform whose registered office is located at Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin.

Our newsletter recipients’ e-mail addresses, as well as their other data described in these notes, are stored on Sendinblue’s servers. Sendinblue uses this information to send and evaluate the Newsletter on our behalf. According to its own information, Sendinblue may also use this data to streamline or improve its own services, e.g. To make technical improvements to the way in which newsletters are dispatched or displayed or for economic purposes as means of identifying from which countries the recipients come. However, Sendinblue does not use our newsletter recipients’ data to write to them directly or to share them with third parties.

We trust in Sendinblue’s reliability and IT and data security, and have entered into an order processing contract with Sendinblue. This is a contract in which Sendinblue undertakes to protect our users’ data, to process it on our behalf in accordance with its data protection regulations and, in particular, not to share it with third parties. You can access Sendinblue’s Privacy Policy here.

Logon information

You just need to enter your e-mail address to register for the newsletter. We may also ask you to enter your first and last name. This information is only used to personalise the newsletter.

Statistical surveys and analyses

Our newsletters contain what is known as a “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the Sendinblue server when the newsletter is opened. Technical information such as information on your browser and system, as well as your IP address and the time of the retrieval are collected within the scope of this retrieval, . This information is used to technically improve the services with the aid of technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour and with the aid of their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or the access times.

The statistical surveys also determine whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. This information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients for technical reasons. However, it is neither our intention nor that of Sendinblue to monitor individual users. These assessments serve us much more in identifying our users’ reading habits and in adapting our content to them or in sending different content that aligns with our users’ interests.

Online call and data management

There are instances where we direct newsletter recipients to Sendinblue’s websites. For example, our newsletters contain a link which recipients can click to access newsletters online (e.g. should there be any display problems in the e-mail programme). Newsletter recipients can also subsequently rectify their data, such as their email address. Sendinblue’s Privacy Policy can also be accessed on this page.

Please note that cookies are used on Sendinblue’s websites in this context and that personal data is therefore processed by Sendinblue, its partners and service providers (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no influence over this data collection. You can find further information in Sendinblue’s Privacy Policy. We would also like to draw your attention to the opt-out functions with regard to data collection on websites for advertising purposes http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ (for the European area).

Unsubscribe/Withdraw consent

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, i.e. withdraw your consent. Your consent to having the newsletter sent to you via Sendinblue and being subject to statistical analyses will expire at the same time. Unfortunately, it is not possible to separately unsubscribe to the newsletter or the statistical analysis via Sendinblue.

You will find the link for unsubscribing from the newsletter at the bottom of each newsletter.

Legal basis General Data Protection Regulation

In accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applicable from 25 May 2018, we hereby inform you that the consent to the sending of e-mail addresses is based on Art. 6 (1)(a), 7 GDPR and section 7 (2) and (3) of the Act against Unfair Competition (UWG). We may use the dispatch service provider Sendinblue, perform statistical surveys and analyses, as well as log the registration process on the basis on our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We are interested in using a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves our business interests and meets the expectations of users.
